I’ve started experimenting in Lightroom (my Lightroom 101 class started this week). So far I’ve only played with a few settings: white balance, temperature, tint, exposure, and contrast. I’m sure there will be plenty more fun tools to come!
Here’s one of my early attempts at enhancing an image:

I like the warmth of your edit!
Thanks!
I prefer the original. The edited looks too warm and too saturated to me. I’d also crop out a bit of the bottom to get rid of the out of focus stuff since your main focus is the moss itself. Other than that, it’s a decent shot. =)
Thanks for the honest opinion 🙂 I’ve only just started on playing around with the editing tools, so this was a bit of an experiment!
I prefer the original too, the colours look more natural. I look at that one and can image the woodland around it
Thanks for your take on it! I always appreciate feedback on what I can do better. It sounds like even before editing I’ve already achieved a feat of in-camera editing — it appears to be a woodland instead of an ugly patchy bit in my yard!

I definitely love the pop of color in the edited. Nice depth of field with the foreground out of focus.
